Grandma’s Sloppy Joe Chip Dip

Recipe by Shaylee YoungDifficulty: Beginner
Cook Time

10

minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef

  • 1 Jar Homemade Chili Sauce*

  • 1 Can Chicken Gumbo soup

  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder/granulated

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder/granulated

  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Salt

  • ½ teaspoon Real Salt

  • *Optional ½ – 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper

  • Tortilla Chips (my favorites are Juanita’s and Walmart’s bite size)

  • Mustard for Garnish

Directions

  • Brown beef on medium on stovetop in a pot.
  • Once browned add Homemade Chili Sauce, chicken gumbo soup and seasonings and simmer on low for 10 minutes. (simmering isn’t necessary, but it does give the dip more flavor)
  • Dish up into bowls and each person garnishes with mustard per their desires! I like LOTS of mustard, but my husband doesn’t like as much, so personal garnishing is for the best.)
  • Eat with your favorite chips or pour over rice and viola, you’re done! So simple and delicious.

Notes

  • *You can usually find the Homemade Chili Sauce either in the tomato sauce area or the ketchup area in the grocery store.
